Hanging up the lights

December gave us a little bit of a reprieve in terms of our schedule.  While we certainly had lots of things going on, we didn't leave on the weekend for 3 weekends in a row, which was quite remarkable for us.  We peppered our time with lots of holiday festivities and play dates which kept the kids and the parents plenty busy.

Zack was very excited to help with the tree this year.  Or to be able to climb on the stool.  Either way...

Putting up the lights!

At least 50% of the ornaments immediately crashed to the floor after he put them on the tree, but don't try and help him.  "no, I do it!"

Ellie was quite the help though!

Ellie made this mask for herself.  I thought it was quite impressive.

Making candy houses in school

Playdate at Robin's house.

Ellie's holiday concert.  I didn't have a good seat and everyone had their phones up.

Making Christmas cookies!  This was the start of the horrendous holiday eating.

When Mr. D woke up from his nap we included him in it.  And immediately ran out of red hots.

The platters for the neighbors.  Ellie was so excited to drop them off and wanted to go by herself.  It made the whole thing even more worthwhile.

Zack's holiday concernt

She took her job very seriously

And God love her, she gave me her all for about 4 hrs that day making cookies.

Mr. D had his best stone face on for the concert.
