It all started with matching turtlenecks...

And they were Osh Gosh B'gosh to be exact.

Kate and I have been friends since kindergarten.  Our childhood was spent together, and then she went away to boarding school for high school.  We always stayed connected, although our lives certainly diverged and she hasn't lived on the east coast basically since high school.  As we got older and married etc, our friendship continued to grow, and there is just something about that person you grew up with.

Fortunately for us, they had friends that were getting married about 30 min north of our house.  Which meant a special east coast trip and a visit with the Drzewieckis!  And amazingly, our kids are about the same ages, and right now, our two oldest girls are just about kindergarten age.

The Frerich family stayed with us for about 5 days, bringing wonderful gifts from Telluride, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.  We had some crazy dinners with the 4 kids and 4 adults, but all in all it was a great time.  They had some things to do with the wedding on Friday and Saturday, and Saturday night we watched the kids.  Sunday we had a trip to the zoo after my half marathon and by that time, we had dinner all figured out.

Ellie and Hazel had a great time.  They are about 6 months apart and it was just so fun to watch them together and think back that Kate and I were that age when we started hanging out.  Our husbands got along swimmingly and it was just super fun all around.  Hopefully we can go out and see them in Telluride soon!
