A Day in the Life: Zack turns 2

We celebrated Zack's second birthday with a small, yet chaotic celebration at the house. It landed on the Thursday before Labor Day so most weren't in the mood to travel. My friend Robin and her two children came by for some Curious George cake and ice cream, and throw in a few balloons and two grandmothers tuning via video chat and it was a party.

I recently uploaded some videos and looked at some of the older ones of Zack, and it was very interesting to see how his personality has remained the same over the course of time. He is basically a very happy, smiley little kid who is pretty much content to do whatever. He loves to play with his older sister and currently imitates basically everything she does. He talks up a storm now, although only about 50% of it is understandable. Ellie gets at least 85% of it so that is helpful. He's lovable and cute as a button. If he gets upset about something he is very much a boy and as soon as you redirect him he's over it. He loves to eat just about anything. He is very sharp and learns things very quickly, although he is not as interested in puzzles as Ellie was at this age. He can climb up on just about anything and goes freely up and down the stairs (we have successfully made it through two children without a single baby gate). If he wants to get into something, he will move a chair or stool over to where he needs to go to make it happen. Mike says he likes to "joke around" as he does stuff to make himself and others laugh. He sleeps through the night and has peed in the potty a couple of times. He still has not had a hair cut, although he does have a reasonable head of hair.
