The kids get out to play

No pictures with this post!  Mike and I had our own little weekend away in July as well.  Kids were shipped up to Mimi's house for the weekend while we had a staycation in NYC with some friends.  Phish was in town (obviously) and therefore some friends came in to town as well.  Friday night was an evening out to dinner and drinks with the Drs. Lee, Rob Dross and Jason Chung at Ma Peche.  Can't say it was all I thought it would be, but the company was much better.  Post dinner drinks at the ACE hotel.  Then we had a old school hotel crash with the 4 of us in one room.  The following day Rob, Jason, Mike and I went out for ramen at Ippudo for some light lunch.  That was promptly followed by a rooftop pool party at one of Jason's friends apartments.  It was a beautiful day out and it was so nice to have a place to hang out before the show.  We headed uptown to the Randalls Island show, leaving the car downtown so as not to be lame and not go out after the show.  The venue was awesome as it was very festival like--stage and a big lawn.  Met up with Mayo and crew and had a great show.  Tooled around the East Village afterwards and called it night at 3 am.  MSD was in good form.  The next day came waaaaaay too soon, and we barely got breakfast in before it was time to go and pick up the kids.  But it was fun to go to the jewish bagel place for some mid day breakfast--just like college!
