The memory and ruminations of a 3 year old

Ellie is quite the character these days.  Some days she really hams it up.  Sometimes she hams it up without meaning to based on her observations, and we all know that kids are frankly honest.  Apparently she has seen a lot of nursing recently and is pretty curious about it.

Scenario:  Driving home from day care

Me: Let out a sucking in noise as if in pain because milk is letting down
Ellie: Miss Daniella throat hurt today at school.
Me: Oh that's too bad.
Ellie:  Yeah.  It's like your boobs hurt right now.
Me: Um, you're right.
Ellie:  That's silly.  I don't have boobs yet.

Later on in the drive:
Ellie: What's your favorite color?
Me: I told you this morning when you asked me.
Ellie: After a little bit of thought...Yellow.
Me: That's right!
Ellie:  Dada's favorite color is blue and mine is purple.  What is Zack's favorite color?
Me:  He doesn't know yet.
Ellie: Zack is looking at the cars to decide.
Me: Huh???
Ellie: Sheesha's favorite food is chicken nuggets.  (This had been discussed earlier that weekend in NH)

At home, Zack is crying
Ellie:  Zack is crying, Mama
Me:  Thanks Ellie.
Ellie:  He's crying because he wants to eat your boob.
