Tee Tee

We have to give a shout out to Tee Tee.  Otherwise known as Lisa Drzewiecki.

We had arranged for Lisa to come down and watch Ellie for about 3 weeks while we settled into our new digs several months ago.  It was a win-win situation for all (well except maybe Jerry who had to watch her bulldog while she was away, but my guess is that it wasn't that far from the norm anyways) because 1.) I didn't have to stress out about finding Ellie a daycare immediately 2.) Lisa is a teacher and has the summers off and a short term job was ideal and 3.) Ellie and Lisa (and us for that matter) haven't really been able to spend all that much time together in the last 2 years.

The three weeks went by super fast, which is a sign that it went really well.  We completely enjoyed having Lisa here, even if she did corrupt me with horrible TV and eat all my pregnancy ice cream.  She and Ellie had some good times too, going to the beach, the pool, the movies, the Zoo among many other activities.  Tee Tee, being a pre-K teacher was fantastic with Ellie.  And she got to see the real Ellie D, fits and naughtieness and all.  Mike and I also got to go on 2 dates and Lisa brought Ellie up to Schenectady so that Mimi could have her for a couple of nights.

It also just so happened to be Tee Tee's birthday while she was here.  So we had to have a party.

There really isn't a good reason for the owl on the cake, but it worked out well.

We have had a lot of boxes in the house in the last couple of months and finally decided to do something fun with them.

This is Ellie's play house.  Although she doesn't really play in it all that much.  We might have to paint it or something.
