The First Noel

This year was the first year the Drzewieckis had a solo Christmas.  While it was over 50 degrees out and certainly many notches down on the activity scale from family gatherings, it was a lovely day indeed.  Ellie is still young enough that she didn't get Santa Claus or Christmas in general.  We probably could have kept the gifts under the tree for another couple of weeks.  Her first gift may have taken a solid 2 minutes to open, but once she got the hang of it, she was ripping through the gifts a lot faster.  Of course she got sick with an ear infection on Christmas Eve, but that didn't seem to slow her down too much.


After we finished opening gifts and lazing around, our friends Heidi and Eddie came over for a nice holiday dinner.  We are still trying to put away all of the cheese they brought for us!  Sooooooo good. 

It is possible that the new Drzewiecki family Christmas tradition will be smoking a turkey.  It worked out really well and was very good.  Even though we had roast beef for dinner.

Little Maestro was obviously front and center throughout most of the morning.  He kept finding new fun places to curl up.

Daddy got a new golf driver.

Mommy got a new iPad!  (Thanks Dad!)

Maestro was infatuated with the train.  He sat there and watched it go by a few times and then decided it was time to swat at it.  He knocked it off the tracks and on a later date, broke it.
